About the author

Gregory Wrightstone is a geologist, author and executive director of the CO2 Coalition, the pre-eminent scientific organization in the world that disputes the “consensus” narrative of man-made catastrophic warming. 

Mr. Wrightstone spent three decades working as an exploration geologist, rising to the highest levels in science, technology and business. On the cutting edge of America's shale gas revolution, he was a lead author of the first comprehensive review of the geologic controls and production potential of the Marcellus Shale (Appalachian Basin), the largest natural gas accumulation in the world. His most recent position was as a founding partner of Mountaineer Keystone in 2011. 

After exiting Mountaineer Keystone in 2014, Wrightstone’s scientific curiosity led him to an exploration for the truth concerning climate change. The research led to his writing the #1 bestselling book Inconvenient Facts – The science that Al Gore doesn’t want you to know, which was published in 2017. His second book, A Very Convenient Warming – How modest warming and more CO2 are benefiting humanity was published in January 2024. 

In late 2020, Wrightstone was selected as executive director of the CO2 Coalition, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based at Arlington, Virginia.

Since assuming leadership of the CO2 Coalition, Mr. Wrightstone has overseen the organization's explosive growth. The number of expert members has grown from 45 to more than 150, who include the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in physics. The recent launch of a science-based educational initiative includes books, videos and lesson plans, which have been warmly embraced by the homeschool community. Mr. Wrightstone has informed millions of people about the benefits of carbon dioxide through thousands of interviews, articles and speeches.

Mr. Wrightstone's expertise on climate change was recently confirmed by his acceptance as an “Expert Reviewer” for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (AR-6). H

He resides in the Free State of Florida along with his wife, family and a cat named Lucy.
